Running for Everyone!

Scrabo Striders is a new running club in Newtownards, Co Down and welcomes runners of all abilities.

We meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings 7:15 - 8pm
at Londonderry Park Pavillion, Portaferry Road.

Our training sessions are tailored to the needs of members with qualified coaches that will motivate you in any weather!

Members have opportunities to get involved in a wide range of races both locally and further afield, from the local parkruns to marathons.

Walk, Jog or Run

From beginners to experienced runners, we welcome anyone who would like to come along and try a session before deciding to join us. Visiting runners are also welcome to attend our Monday and Wednesday sessions.

We hope that belonging to Scrabo Striders will offer all our members the chance to form new friendships, we organise regular social gatherings for members to connect and encourage each other.

Scrabo Striders Titanic Effort: Titanic running effort on Sunday and at the Dublin to Belfast Ultra!

Good Morning Striders! Tonight's session will be Oregon Circuits. This is a strength and conditioning session which will work and build the major muscle groups in your legs and make you a stronger more efficient runner. The session will consist of a lap of 3/4 of the pitch and you will then enter the exercise station where there will be 5 different exercises to perform. You will do an exercise then a lap and then repeat until all the stations are completed. At this point you can have a recovery lap or return to the beginning and start again. It is a tough but fun session and we'll even have a bit of music to keep you going.
