Results from the weekend
Our Saturday Striders doing the parkrun; in Bangor we had Jonny Kinney in 21:16, Sharon Andrews in 26:09, Carol Bailie in 26:58, Eileen Pollock 27:59, Janice Irvine in 30:52. In Comber we had Curtis McCaw in 17:51, Nigel Martin in 24:28 and Sara Martin in 29:07. At Stormont we had Mark Leathem in 23:45 and Stephen Campbell in 29:02.
Well done to Jonny Kinney on his warm up for Belfast Half Marathon. Congratulations to Sara Martin and Mark Leathem on your PBs. Happy parkrun anniversary to Sharon Andrews celebrating her 50th and to Curtis McCaw celebrating his 50th first place and 90th parkrun.
Belfast Half Marathon
On Sunday we had 11 Striders running Belfast Half Marathon and clearly they enjoyed it, first in for us was Jonny Kinney in 1:34:04, second and first lady was Catherine Cauley in 1:43:59, Kieran Mc Namara in 1:47:33, Garry Cavill in 1:48:19, Manuel Farrelly in 1:51:57, Mervyn Kinney in 1:54:25, Graeme McGowan in 1:55:59, Tina Miller in 1:59:26, Aine Cahir in 2:00:56, Olli Seeger in 2:12:04 and Carleen Seeger in 2:53:00.
Well done to Tina, Olli and Carleen on completing your first half marathon, we are sure it will be the first of many. We also had 4 PBs from our Striders, Garry beating his time by 51 seconds, Catherine beating her last PB by over 6 minutes, Aine beating her last PB by over 8 mins and Kieran beating his last PB by over 10 minutes. Congratulations to the four of you. Well done to all completing the half marathon, it is such a fantastic achievement running 13.1miles.
