Weekend Results 27th & 28th August
On Saturday we had our parkrunners;
In Belfast Victoria we had Tina Miller running in 24:15 this is a parkrun PB of over 3mins and over 1 minute off since Donaghadee 5K, congratulations Tina.
In Bangor we had Mervyn Kinney in 24:04 and Carol Bailie in 27:11. Congratulations to Mervyn and Carol, both achieving PBs.
Comber parkrun had Curtis McCaw in 18:23, congratulations on coming in first again this week Curtis, Nigel Martin in 23:56 well done Nigel only 2 seconds off PB, Carl Harris in 24:41 and Sara Martin in 29:09, congratulations on another PB Sara, 2 in a row now.
In Stormont a few striders went up for their 1st anniversary, Oliver Seeger in 25:12, Gary Clarke in 26:03, Stephen Campbell in 28:45, Catherine Laveryin 28:59, Karen Clarke in 32:28 and Carleen Seeger in 35:49.
On Saturday we also had Garry Cavill running in Killyleagh Half Marathon, absolutely fantastic running in 1:49:10, coming in 1st in his age category and a PB of over 5 minutes for a Half marathon. Congratulations on an amazing improvement Garry and coming first in you category.
On Sunday we had 8 Striders Storming the Castle; Maureen Rea our first Strider home in 50:51 (PB), Olli Seeger second Strider in 53:52 (PB), Kirsty Meredith our third Strider in 54:15 (PB), Christine Miller in 59:58(PB), Catherine Lavery in 1:00:16, Wendy Thompson in 1:00:29, Janice Irvine in 1:12:50 and Carleen Seeger in 1:13:06(PB). An absolutely fantastic set of results with 5 PBs, well done to all of you, a special mention to a couple of people, firstly Kirsty has made a fantastic improvement since joining the club dropping over 10 mins off her 10K PB in a couple of months and has earned a few 10K PBs since then, Carleen has also dropped 7 minutes off her 10K PB congratulations to you both on such fantastic improvements. Congratulations to Maureen as this was her first 10K race in sub 51 mins and Christine as this was her first race, completing it sub 1 hour. With those times we are sure they will both be competing in many more 10K races.
